Senator Graham is no Hypocrite
7 January 2005
Dear Fellow American:
Sen. Graham is no hypocrite.
Sen. Graham does not believe in torture any more than you or I do. Torture is not the American, Christian, or Humane way.
I was proud of the job he did during the Gozales Hearings.
Sen. Graham was not fawning over Gozales or trying to gain the favor of Democrats. He spoke his mind and did so honestly. He was not hypocritical and never said that all that was bad is now good. He is no neocon because the neocons would never have made such an exposition. He spoke from his experience as a USAF JAG and Reserve Judge. The Geneva Convention, UCMJ, torture statute, and the standard of humane treatment are important to who we are as a rule of law nation.
We can become our own enemy if we do not find our way out of the darkness. Sen. Graham even admitted that we lost our way and by doing as we did we risked becoming like our enemies. We are not the terrorists. Sen. Graham has been one of the most outspoken since the Abu Ghraib scandal broke. The Neocons are to blame, not Sen. Graham who I believe is a mainstream conservative.
Hypocrite

You are a Baptist hypocrite. So now you believe in torture as the American way. Is it the Christian Way also.
I cannot tell you how disgusted I am by your performance during the Gonzales confirmation hearings.
Your fawning, hypocritical exposition is typical of the neocon reality. All things bad are now good. Now Americans have become their own enemy. We are now the terrorists thanks to Bush, Gonzales, you, and your neocon cohorts.
