Miers Management
4 October 2005

Senator Graham (audio) praised, while not endorsing, the nomination of Harriet Miers to be the next associate justice on the US Supreme Court. He called her a "solid pick" because she has had many years of experience in the tranches working everyday problems. He also hoped for and anticipated a "smooth confirmation process."
Athough, "I expect the liberal left to make demands upon the Administration to produce information protected by attorney-client privilege. Efforts such as these to derail a qualified nominee like Miers should fail." Senator Graham is correct becasue Sen. Kennedy has alredy released a statement requesting documents.
How do we manage the fact the Ms. Miershas no record for us o look at weather it be jicial decisions, briefs, or law review articles? I know the documenst are protected privelege, but I wonder if in this case they maybe should be released so we can get a better idea of what type of justice she would be so we do not have to be concenred about her being David Souter in a skirt. When President Bush says just trust on this regarding Ms. Miers many older American have flashbacks to Bush 41 and David Souter, who yurned out to be liberal. Is history repeating itself? Only time will tell. I do not completely trust the president on this one, but I trust our fine Senators like Lindsey Graham to vet her well and make sure she is qualified.
