Encouragement Before the Conference

Just passing along some words of encouragement before the immigration conference committee meets. It will be difficult to occupy the lonely seat at the table on this issue, however, I encourage you to stand up for the principles that you believe in.

It seems that some of your colleagues wil not admit why we are at this point and that is because the executive did not enforce the laws. We have some illegalswho have paid into the system for 10-20 years or more and they should be given a path to citizenship.

You have the right idea, there just needs to be some tweaking. The illegals should not be eligible for the money they paid in while illegal. Until they are legal they should not be eligible for the EITC either. We also should not allow them to enter our college system without proving they have the privelege of being here.

I am with youon your fight to provide a path to citizenship for some of the illegals.
