Doing the Right Thing

I wish to thank you for you positive comments about Sen. Durbin apologizing. This took much courage because it is an admission of wrongdoing. He is still being ravaged for the comments and the apology is being called insincere. This is wrong. You are also being attacked for forgiving him. This is wrong also.

I thank you for forgiving his mistake. The comments in the Washington Post, "It was good for the troops and it was good for Senator Durbin," were right on. Although I would have added it was good for the country.

I forgave him as well. This is the Christian thing to do. I thank you for again doing the right thing. Let's get back to the people's business and off the politics of personal destruction.
